100s – Life of A Mack
I love when this joint comes on while I’m playing Grand Theft Auto 5. It makes me want to dish whatever ride I’m in and go and jack a ol skool whip, then head over to Los Santos Customs for the pimp treatment. I like this song because the beat is so groovy and mellow. The way 100s flows on it has that pimp slang to it. Reminds me of Short Dawg. I got to listen to more of his music. Enjoy!
My 4 Favorite Songs off of Capital Cities’ ‘In A Tidal Wave of Mystery’
I’m always listening to different music, searching for that energy that meshes perfectly with mine. Lately I have been scrolling through Capital Cities’ In A Tidal Wave of Mystery’ and just grooving to some of the songs up there. I think that it’s a good album to stream if you are working, studying, or just chillin out. Not every song is as strong as the next but it will satisfy your thirst for the moment. So here’s the songs that I can’t wait to hear while listening to the album. Continue reading
Made In Japan – Follow the Fool
Some songs are just so easy to listen to. These songs can also brighten your mood and put you in a state where it’s almost like all of your worries disappear even if it’s only for a second.
St. Lucia – Elevate
This is a pretty groovy song. I think I had this song playing the other day while I was at work, it has that “All Night Long” feel to it.
Dom Kennedy – ERICA Part 1
In hopes that Get Home Safely will provide that original Dom sound, this new joint ups the ante. OPM
Connor Evans – Ridin on a Storm ft. Vic Mensa
This joint dropped a while ago, it’s a pretty nice joint right here. kudos to BHB for such a soulful production. Vic Mensa smh.
Crazy Verse: Rapsody – Destiny
Lately I’ve been bumping Rapsody’s The Idea of Beautiful. I can help to press the repeat button when I listen to a few of her songs. One in particular that I think is strong lyrically is track # 9, entitled “Destiny”. The lyrics are so personal and I think they strike an accord with many people. I like how she opened up and shared her experience on how she grew, I can vouch for how real it is. Peep this 1st verse. Continue reading
London Grammar – Metal & Dust
The beginning of this song slightly reminds me of the beginning of Coldplay’s Paradise. I’ve never heard of this artist but I’m feeling this song. At some point you want to say that she sounds similar to Elle Goulding or Lana Del Rey.
ASTR – Operate
Every once in a while I hit the jackpot and this is what you are about to listen to if you are reading this…
