The song that got me through this week

Most mornings I like to get hype before going into work. Get the juices flowing. Every week or 2 there’s a song that just stays on repeat. This song is usually what coworkers see me bouncing to as I pass by them looking for a parking spot. If they only knew how nice of a jam this was. Simply, this week has been a biotch at work but Naughty got me to Friday! Thanks fellas.

Isaiah Rashad – Cilvia Demo (Album Review)

So this is the first project that we get from the TDE camp for the new year. This is also Isaiah Rashad’s first official project. I’ve been feeling the random songs that I’ve heard from this guy so I’m hoping that this album hits on all cylinders. Let’s see what this project is about. Continue reading

Another Album That You Don’t Want to Miss Out On This Year

It’s nice to hear a song from a band that you have never heard of and like it. It’s even better when that band releases a full album without all of the promotional timeline bull@#@t and it’s actually worthy of playing all the way through without skipping a single track. The album starts out with a song called Continue reading

Vic Mensa – INNANET (ALBUM REVIEW)

I have been curious to find out what this project from Vic Mensa would sound like. I’ve noticed lately that his flow resembles Chance the Rapper’s and I was just hoping that maybe some of that will be carried over to this project and he would leave those really pop like songs off. I guess we will see, so let’s get into it. Continue reading

The One Album That You Should Not Miss Out On This Year

So lately I have been cleaning up the inbox and taking time to respond to emails. I have been listening to a lot of submitted music as well and responding with feedback. I did notice that a group that I have listened to before called The Procussions recently released a new self titled album. I had to listen to their new project because I know one of their songs gets heavy rotations on one of my pod playlists. I was excited to hear it and at the same time I was skeptic because these days you can’t get your hopes up on receiving a solid album from new artists. I will have to tell you that I was very satisfied with what I heard and just wanted to share my thoughts on the project. Continue reading
