This was a common thing back in the mid-90s, Puff was a big reason for this. We all know that story. For California Love, I never was a fan of that original beat. The verses, the hook, Roger and the talkbox? Love it. That beat just didn’t give that Cali feel. That remix though. Oh boy. Just listen to that bassline. Incredible.
