OverDoz – De$tabil

Produced by THC for one thing! Secondly, it’s been like 2 years can we get some new Overdoz music??

Arcade Fire – Reflektor (video)

This might be the only album in the past 2 years that I have had my hopes high for. I just HOPE that its as good as The Suburbs, that’s going to be a hard one to top. This is supposed to be the intro song to the new album so I’m not sure where they are going to take it after this song. My nerves eat at me whenever I listen to this song, my hopes are that high. I hate when people tell me that The Funeral was better than The Suburbs, I can go on all day about why it was not. The Suburbs is probably the only album that I haven’t removed from my pod since it first came out. Anyways October 29th is the date and I for one will be ready.

Of Monsters and Men – Dirty Paws

I heard this song while watching the trailer to The Secret Life of Walter Mitty. It’s crazy how these songs get by you, this one has been out for over a year. I guess it takes the right alignment of dramatic visuals in order for the song to really resonate with me sometimes. I will definitely have to check out their album My Head is an Animal even though I am doubting that the rest of the songs will contain any of the soulfulness that this song contains. If you haven’t already heard it, enjoy!

MTNS – Lost Track of Time

This might be the next indie song to explode on the scene. From an Australian band called MTNS, this song is definitely pleasant to listen to. Skrillex, ModeStep, or somebody like that will probably remix it and before you know it you will have some sweat dripping club song, which wouldn’t bother me a bit. But enjoy the original for the time being!

The One Album That You Should Not Miss Out On This Year

So lately I have been cleaning up the inbox and taking time to respond to emails. I have been listening to a lot of submitted music as well and responding with feedback. I did notice that a group that I have listened to before called The Procussions recently released a new self titled album. I had to listen to their new project because I know one of their songs gets heavy rotations on one of my pod playlists. I was excited to hear it and at the same time I was skeptic because these days you can’t get your hopes up on receiving a solid album from new artists. I will have to tell you that I was very satisfied with what I heard and just wanted to share my thoughts on the project. Continue reading
