First Time I heard Kendrick Lamar’s O(verly) D(edicated)

Well I woke up early this morning and decided to do some spring cleaning (f^%k the northeast cause it don’t feel like no spring out here, shout out to NC!). Well as all hip hop heads know, we need music to do most of everything so I was like hmmm what can I blast while I do my thing. Since I am a fairly new fan of Kendrick Lamar’s it’s only right that I get that Overly Dedicated, so I proceeded to do so. The intro of the tape threw me off cause I was like damn the homie is off beat but what the concept was genius. As I moved into Growing Apart I was like DAMN! now this is I what I was expecting. Night of the Living Junkies was real soulful and so sick, especially that sample in the background. The skit at the beginning of P&P was soooo funny, good ole Martin Pane! So far I have to say that I am impressed. I’m like a minute into Alien Girl and this track has my cabbage in a steady bob while I got this broom and dust pan in hand. I hope that the rest of the tape doesn’t disappoint. I know Satchford been on Kendrick for a while and I’m starting to see why he is always hyping this guy up. I would love to hear what are ya’ll fav tracks off this tape.

  1. You should definitely start proofreading before you upload your content. I’m not trying to be a hater, just an educator. You can’t learn from your mistakes if you never knew you made them.

  2. I totally agree… I was adamant to listen to the guy but once I heard The Heart Pt. 2 and heard how this nigga choked in the track I was sold… Like Pharrell said “Kendrick Lamar Is Hip Hop” and I agree.
